ERIK HILL – Junior Warden

Erik Hill

‘Places all’ has been a familiar call for Erik Hill, the Lodge’s number three officer.  He was appearing at one of Seattle’s small black-box theaters when he noticed a sticker for Daylight Lodge on an envelope.  It prompted him to ask about joining the Lodge and his petition was received in April 2005.  He held the Junior Deacon’s place in the Lodge in 2008-2009 and was elected Junior Warden this past June.

Erik is a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, born there in 1971.  He is the son of an Army Officer and lived overseas in Germany and state side in San Francisco, CA. He graduated from high school in Yakima, WA. His desire to be a thespian took him to New York after completing studies at Washington State University. He became a student once again in New York and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He then continued on to become a member of the Academy Company.  His acting ability is such that quite frequently he is cast as the ‘heavy’ in many productions.  He worked as an actor on stage, commercials and soap operas in New York and Los Angeles. In Los Angeles he trained at the Groundlings School of Improvisation

and then moved to Seattle in August of 2005 where he began to work in various local theatre productions.  He continues to do so both in Seattle and Tacoma.  He has also taken on the task of guiding the Lodge members in techniques they can use in the various parts of their Masonic ritual.

Erik’s ‘day job’ is in the real estate business, which enables him the opportunity and time to continue with his love of Acting. He lives in Tacoma with his wife Irene. Their first child is due in January 2010.
